This year, I never repeated this tradition. There was nothing to be hopeful of. I never wanted to make any resolutions as I did not consider it necessary.  Many ideas crossed my thoughts this morning of things I can implement to better my life, make myself a happier and successful person, and possibly develop habits to build a stronger character in 2011.

I am sure I was not alone in these. Billions of people around the world experienced their moment of ecstasy, faith and hope when the clock ticked 00:00 Hours yesterday from a spouse who wished more love this year, a student who wished scholarship, an overweight who hoped to lose some pounds and a preacher who prayed for more followers.

I did my part too in writing down all those things I want in 2011 but while at it, I never saw the importance of making any new resolutions since those I made in 2010, most I never implemented.

I decided that in 2011 I will each day as it comes, grow in wisdom, seek truth and enjoy my bliss. I am thankful for what I experienced in 2010 and more expectant what the future holds in 2011. I have made my choice to enjoy each day, try to always be in an attitude of gratitude and work a little harder and smarter to achieve my goals.

Besides that, I have not made any concrete New Year resolution. I have decided to surprise myself.
